Evelyn Alberta Edmonds

Born July 18, 1937, Evelyn Edmonds grew up in North Carolina. Seeking a better life, she moved north to Philadelphia in 1955. She loved to sew and found work sewing in factories. Life above the Mason-Dixon Line gave her daughters opportunities beyond the prospects she imagined for them in the South.
